Suretank, the world's leading provider of engineered solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry, has delivered 28 galvanised shelved mini containers to Rigbound.
Manufactured at Suretank Thailand, the shelved minis are destined for Trinidad where they will be used to transport IBCs and drums offshore.
Brendan Heavey, Project Manager Customer Care at Suretank said: "This is the first time that we've had a request to galvanise containers. Previously, we have been requested to hot-dip galvanise cargo baskets. However galvanising the containers will help to reduce upkeep and maintenance costs when the units ship offshore.
"We are seeing more and more requests like this as customers are looking to maximise the value of their investments and extend the working life of their equipment.
"We also designed and manufactured 38ft offshore cargo baskets all to ship on one 40ft flat rack to reduce shipping costs."
Gary Frost, Managing Director at Rigbound added: "We have an excellent working relationship with Suretank. We can always guarantee the quality of their units with everything manufactured to the highest specifications no matter where in the world they are produced. Suretank helped us to come up with a cost effective solution and we look forward to working with them again in the future."
