To kick off the first in our “let’s talk about” series we are taking a look at cryogenics. Here at Suretank we specialise in the design and manufacture of cryogenic tanks for the safe storage and transportation of cryogenic liquids for the offshore market worldwide.

Let's start with a few basic facts...

I am very pleased to have completed what is the most complex engineered cabin we have ever produced at Suretank.

The A60 is being used as a control cabin and will house up to six operators on an oil rig in a hazardous location.

The planning, design and build process for this cabin was particularly involved and the quality control has been as rigorous as you would expect. The result is absolutely fantastic and will give comfortable, functional, working accommodation for operators and their control equipment with a clear view of the outside workings on the rig.

Suretank has expanded its manufacturing capability by achieving an extension of the internationally recognised ASME U-stamp and R-stamp certificates.  

The ASME Certification Mark (U-stamp) is a means of complying with the laws and regulations in nearly all U.S. States and Canadian Provinces. In addition, it has been estimated that over 100 countries accept the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (BPVC) as a means of meeting their government safety regulations.

Here at Suretank we have recently manufactured a range of new 13’ Cryogenic tanks for a major customer offering an expanding range of oilfield services in the Middle East and North Africa.

The 13’ offshore container is designed to meet the most stringent offshore requirements (DNV 2.7-1, 2013). The tanks are designed for a working pressure of 3.1 Barg and have a Hold time of 20 days.

Here at Suretank we have recently partnered with Halliburton on a specific project, to develop a mobile 10ft offshore container complete with pumps/filtration and chemical injection for a flowline project.
