Last month I spoke exclusively to The Manufacturer magazine about Suretank's product lifecycle platform (PLM), Autodesk Fusion.
Ensuring your processes deliver on customer expectations is critical to business success. Having grown from a single site start-up manufacturing offshore tanks and containers, to a global operation with sites all over the world offering an extensive offshore product range and after sales service, we had to ensure our processes evolved sufficiently to match the rate of business growth. Hence our decision to invest in a PLM system.
Since going live with Autodesk Fusion, we've seen a dramatic increase in process efficiency across the company, resulting in time and cost savings to our customers.
It's also proving very effective in supporting business development. In line with our continued desire for growth and new market conditions, we are continually adapting the business, looking for alliances and seeking to optimise resources. Modular data centres is one of those new markets for us and it's been the flexibility of the PLM system that has allowed us to change workflows and add the new modular data centre products with ease.
We have already started shipping the modular data centres, have six currently under construction, and more orders in the pipeline.
The continual development of our offshore and onshore product range is critical for our growing customer base and for the success of the business and the PLM system supports our ability to deliver these solutions day to day.
