Suretank recently earned two prestigious awards for its outstanding apprenticeship programme.  Firstly, congratulations to Suretank employee Jamie Kirwan, who received the  Apprentice Of The Year Award (Electrical) at the Generation Apprenticeship Ireland Awards in the Mansion House in Dublin on Wednesday, 23rd October, 2024.  We are incredibly proud of Jamie and the entire electrical team who supported him throughout his apprenticeship journey.  On the night there were 400 outstanding nominees present and Jamie was awarded one of the 17 category awards, winning the Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award. Director of the National Apprenticeship Office, Dr. Mary-Liz Trant, added: “The National Apprenticeship Office wish the warmest congratulations to Jamie Kirwan on winning a top award in the Apprentice of the Year 2024 Electrical category, and to all the outstanding apprentices who won industry awards spanning major skills industries”.  This award highlights Jamie’s passion for his apprenticeship and the skills he has developed throughout the programme. It also showcases the outstanding apprenticeship programme offered by Suretank, headquartered in Dunleer, Co. Louth, with facilities in Castlebellingham where the electrical team operates. The mentorship and guidance provided by Suretank exemplify the exceptional quality of their electrical apprenticeship programme.  Congratulations Jamie!

In addition to Jamie’s award Suretank was also awarded The Employer Recognition Award for the Louth & Meath region.  On Thursday 24th October, Suretank celebrated another milestone when Dymphna Conlon our People & Organisation Development Manager, accepted the Employer Recognition Award from Louth, Meath Education & Training Board.  At Suretank, we are deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals through our comprehensive apprenticeship programme. Our dedication is reflected in the robust support we provide to our apprentices, both on and off the job.  We offer a diverse range of apprenticeships, including Electrical and Pipefitter Apprenticeships, as well as the innovative Level 7 Industrial Electrical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship.  In Suretank, we have the expertise within our team to equip apprentices with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge they need to excel in their careers. We take great pride in the mentorship and guidance provided by our experienced team, ensuring that each apprentice receives personalised support and development opportunities.  Through our “Grow Your Own Timber” initiative, we focus on training and developing the necessary expertise from within our existing team. This approach not only fosters career progression but also enhances engagement and commitment among our team members.   The Employer Recognition Award from the Louth Meath Education & Training Board highlights our unwavering commitment to excellence in apprenticeship training.  Suretank is deeply honoured to receive this esteemed recognition.
